"Update - Casey worked with me and resolved the issues I initially reported, we visited again last night and had a fabulous meal, night and day compared to my previous experience" I hate complaining (despite the table next to us complaining) which is why I didn’t make a fuss last night but I had planned to email you today. We ate last night and firstly I have to say that the host and the waitress were extremely helpful and friendly, my issue lies with the quality of the food We have just moved to Knowle and planned to use your restaurant regularly as it’s within walking distance, the first meal we had was very nice but last nights food was extremely below par for the following reasons :- - The Yorkshire pudding was tiny, hard, cold and dried out - Most of the meats (specifically the beef and turkey) were right at the end of their usage and as such we were given dry off-cuts which required quite a bit of gravy to make them edible - My wife who is only small was extremely disappointed with her meat portion size - The vegetables were extremely dry, I couldn't even eat the end of the parsnips and had to leave them - The gravy was cold and the cranberry sauce was completely spent It was clear to me that most of these issues were due to the fact we ate early in the evening and the food given to us had been out since lunchtime I hope you find my feedback constructive Many thanks

We were a little disappointed with the warmness of the pub, felt cool even though we were away from the window. It said in the Menu there would be Lamb on Saturday but non there, also the Beef looked dry so we opted for the Pork and Gammon. Bonus was the size of the Yorkshire Puddings, very appetising. It was quiet when we got there around 4ish.

We were early for Sunday lunch and disappointed the place was a bit grubby. Tables and floor not clean, salt and pepper pots flecked with old gravy, etc. The decor and wall decorations are bland and unimaginative. Service was prompt, helpful, and pleasant. The meats were well cooked and presented, but the vegetables were mostly overcooked, not inedible, but pretty soft, lacking taste or wilted. There were a good array of sauces and condiments in bowls nearby. However, without any labels, it was frustrating and difficult to tell what was what. With a bottle of wine and a side of pigs in blankets, the bill was nearly £60 for 2 without a tip.
