Disappointing visit. We went to this restaurant on a Sunday so we knew it would be busy, so we booked a table. After being seated fairly quickly, we waited about 20 minutes for the waiting staff to come and take our drinks order. There were staff working in the area but they were busy clearing tables rather than taking orders from people who had arrived. We went up to the carvery whilst one of our party went to find a waiter to order drinks. The food was delicious and despite a bit of a backlog due to people waiting for more gravy and running out of cabbage, you couldn't fault it. The desserts were also very nice. Unfortunately one of the staff didn't really understand how to use the card machine as we needed the receipt, so she went to print one off despite having a copy that we wanted in her hand. A nice restaurant but they really need more staff on a Sunday!

Went for breakfast. Food was nice although the bacon was a bit dried out and the sausages were Luke warm at best. Pleasantly greeted upon arrival when ordering and paying. But spent our time eating our breakfast being watched by a member of staff who looked annoyed at us being there. Place was pretty empty whilst we were in there which was nice but the stares made us feel like we were somehow a bother and it felt awkward. I don’t know anyone who likes being watched when eating to be fair. Will try again when it’s not as empty and presume it was just a one off. Food was good value for money and worth a visit for the food alone.

Great selection and tasting of food on the cavery, attentive staff to getting our drinks order and checking in. Plates clear away in respectable time. All in all a great experience. And all for super reasonable price. By far one of the best dinners we've had in England so far
