Shakedown Restaurant is an Italian inspired restaurant serving Breakfast, Brunch and Prosecco inspired by the very best of Italian cuisine, made with locally sourced ingredients.

They know breakfast is the most important meal of the day, that’s why theyan unlimited self-service buffet including any tea or coffee of your choice. Enjoy a selection of nutritious options such as organic oat porridge, flavoursome shakshuka and a classic take on the eggs benedict. For those looking for something more indulgent, the full English breakfast and its vegan counterpart are sure to satisfy.

The weekend three-course Brunch is priced at £45 per person and includes bottomless Prosecco, draught beer or signature cocktails. To start, you can choose from sweet berries, ricotta and syrup pancakes or savoury crispy bacon or maple syrup pancakes, followed by their Shakedown flatbread, Shakshuka or avocado toast. To finish, choose from a dreamy vanilla crème brûlée or Sicillian cannoli with sheep ricotta and chocolate chips.

Modern European design and British industrial designers were key influences for the creation of Shakedown Bar & Restaurant; specifically, the interiors are inspired by modern design movements, and what a designer’s studio or home might look like if visitors were allowed inside. 

Shakedown Bar & Restaurant also takes reference from the area surrounding Tower Bridge, highlighting its cultural heritage; this mix of modern design with contemporary finishes has ensured that the restaurant is a stylish space that is welcoming and relaxed located a stone’s throw away from Tower Bridge. 

Shakedown Bar & Restaurant is located within The Dixon Hotel, the former Tower Bridge Magistrates Court.

Breakfast is available from 6:30 am to 10:30am Monday to Friday, and 7:00am to 11:.00am Saturday and Sunday.  

Brunch

Brunch is available 12pm to 3pm on Saturday and Sunday, with flexible hours for both breakfast and brunch options.

    The breakfast was exceptional! The buffet as well as a la carte was delicious! Dayan, Monika and Saleh were so attentive and friendly. They took care of our every need throughout our breakfast. They kept the buffet constantly filled with fresh and tasty food. Highly recommend. 🎉

    Breakfast Buffet has everything on it for a full English breakfast! Plus made to order eggs or omelettes included. Food quality and service excellent! Their coffee is very rich, strong and smooth to as they have their own roasted coffee beans in the shakedown Café.

    We had a beautiful anniversary celebration with afternoon tea at the Dixon. Lina was amazing! Perfect recommendations for how to best enjoy the afternoon tea.
