Typical Ivy experience, you do get treated well and the staff are very friendly and professional. The only reason I’m giving 4* (3* for service) is the poor girl looking after us had such a large section we sometimes felt ignored until the restaurant got quiet. She was fab though!! Not her fault, felt management heavy. Maybe more actual waiting staff on smaller sections for a more attentive feel. Food fabulous, although £6 for the choc truffles is a bit steep, but it’s the Ivy. The food didn’t disappoint and we left having a great evening. Cleanliness 100%, bathrooms smelt fresh and clean. Loved the live acoustic music & singer. Great atmosphere.

Went to the Ivy for my birthday a while back. The setting is really nice and being right in front of city hall is lovely. Food was also lovely definitely worth trying at least once. Our server was also very friendly and went the extra mile with the birthday brownie at the end. Chocolate bomb was really cool forgot to get a video of it was just cool seeing it in the moment

My husband and I had brunch on Saturday. We decided to get the bus into town and unfortunately Translink let us down with one bus cancelled and the other delayed over 10 mins so we were going to miss our reservation time, as well as the 15 mins grace but I did phone to make them aware. The person who answered the phone said they were fully booked and we would still need to be off the table at the allocated time. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and the service both attentive and helpful. I ordered a spicy margarita which wasn’t on the menu but they still made and it was beaut! I had crispy duck salad, my husband had the scallops which he really enjoyed. We both then had steak, my husband the sirloin, which was beautifully cooked and tender. I ordered the fillet to be cooked medium which it did appear to be but I had to saw through it as it was very tough. I mentioned this to my husband and the waitress must have seen me and she came straight over to see if everything was ok. I explained the steak was very tough and she immediately rectified with a manager. They very swiftly took my plate away and came back with my requested alternative sirloin which was tender and cooked beautifully. We got chips as a side and the broccoli. The broccoli was super hard, not al dente which made it not so enjoyable to eat. For dessert my husband ordered an anniversary chocolate bomb which was lovely although I only had a little bite. The manager also gave me a complimentary cocktail - salted caramel espresso martini - and the dessert on the house for our trouble. Overall we had a very enjoyable dining experience in the surroundings and with the staff looking after us. The food let the experience down a little but it wouldn’t put me off going back as I hope it’s teething problems and the service was impeccable. Oh! And we weren’t rushed or required to leave the table earlier as advised which was great!
